I. HE IS PASSIVE TOWARD YOU. A man who is not right for you will not be able to express his feelings, opinions and self-esteem when he interacts with you. He will seem to have no opinion about everything... and keeps his anger and frustration under wraps. You can tell that he is upset, but he will act like all is well... and somehow swallow his anger and frustration. He is not a nice guy... he has just decide not to participate fully in the relationship with you.
II. HE IS AGGRESSIVE AGAINST YOU. A man who is not right for you does not consider your feelings, opinion or your self-esteem. He bulldozes you with his words and opinions so that you end up doing exactly what he wants. He ignores your opinion as he pursues whatever it is that he wants.
III. HE MANIPULATES YOU. A man who is not right for you will manipulate you with his anger, threat of violence, silent treatment (tantrum) or by making you feel insufficient (or wrong) by comparing you negatively to his ideal woman to get you to do what he wants. If you express a relationship need that he doesn't want to meet then he just talks you out of that need by using his manipulative tool of choice.
IV. YOU DO NOT RESPECT HIM. Yes you do love him, but the truth is that you really have no respect for this man. His opinions are rubbish (to you), his feelings don't matter, you tear him down with your words and speech regularly... you walk all over him without any ounce of guilt. He may be a weakling but he is also not right for you.
V. HE HAS ADDICTIVE HABITS. A man who is not right for you will have self-destructive habits like alcoholism, chronic unfaithfulness, gambling, etc. His habits just keep destroying your relationship and naturally you feel sorry for him but his addiction will take both of you to relationship hell... and you may never get back from there.
A man who is not right for you will interact with you in ways that are not healthy... but are actually relationship destroying.
